I graduated from the Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness in 2009 with a diploma in Aesthetics. Shortly thereafter in April 2010, I began my career in a small room in the back of Gloss Nail Spa on Water Street in Milwaukee. There I believe I received a better customer service and client care education than any schooling could have offered me.
My original goal in becoming an aesthetician was to focus on skin care and eyebrow shaping, but I quickly discovered I had a knack for body waxing, and waxing very quickly. Puzzlingly, the school I attended did not teach Brazilian waxing, so I had to teach myself on unfortunate and unwitting clients. Also I learned that there was something about my personality that quickly disarmed even the most bashful of clients and thus I became known for my Brazilian waxing skills.
After 5 and a half years at Gloss, I moved on to The Beehive where I became a small business owner in September of 2015. I moved my business to Dye My Darling in 2019, and in winter of 2023 I finally obtained my very own space in Shorewood and rebranded myself. At Lady Godiva, I plan to provide an even greater client experience. I strive to always show my clients the utmost of respect and grace through the intimate services I offer. I also strive to be the funniest butt waxer in the game.

Parking
Parking is street parking only.
Late Policy
There is no grace period. Be on time or we will have to reschedule. I book 15 minutes per appointment. If you are so late that you miss your appointment, there is a $50 fee to rebook.
No Show Policy
If you no show for an appointment you previously confirmed, there is a $50 fee to rebook the appointment.
Payment Options
I take all major credit cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay. I do not accept any payment apps like Venmo or CashApp.
Can I bring a friend with me?
I'd rather you didn't.
Can I bring my kids with me?
I'd rather you didn't.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Yes, please.
What kind of wax do you use?
I use all soft wax. Some people think that's odd but it's the product I trained myself with and what I am most proficient with.
How long does the hair have to be in order to be waxed?
Absolute minimum is two weeks after you last shaved or trimmed. Any shorter and the wax will not grab the hair and both you and I will have a miserable time. I can do a test patch when you come in, and I guarantee you that I will be honest with you if I think it's too short. There really is no such thing as too long. If it is too long, I will determine that and trim your hair accordingly. Please don't trim it yourself.
Does it hurt?
Yes. But it won't be anything you can't handle.
Can I do anything to make it hurt less?
Some people say taking a pain reliever like thirty minutes before your appointment helps. The first wax is always the worst, but what will help above all else is staying on a consistent waxing schedule.
How long do the results last?
Everyone is different, but typically you will be ready to be waxed again in 4-6 weeks.
What can I do to help prevent ingrown hairs?
EXFOLIATE, and stay on a consistent waxing schedule.
What does a "Brazilian" mean?
Typically it includes all the hair from your vulva and your butt crack. But we can talk about what your ideal "look" is and go from there. I'm not going to force you to go fully bald.
Can I get waxed on my period?
Yes, I don't care if you have a tampon or a cup in. However if you're uncomfortable, let's reschedule.
What can't I do after a wax?
Please don't get sweaty, no tanning, and no boinking for 24-48 hours.
Can I get waxed when I'm pregnant?
Yup.
Do people scream or cry?
No, and if you see people doing it in internet videos they are hamming it up for the camera.
